Final Fantasy Digital Card Game Announced for PC and Smartphones

Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy Digital Card Game.

The new digital trading and battling card game is coming to Windows PC and smartphones sometime this year as a free-to-play title (with in-game microtransactions), via the Yahoo! Japan games portal. A closed beta test is scheduled for January 18th to the 25th, and sign-ups are available here. Only 10,000 users will be accepted in the initial closed beta test.

Square Enix describes the game as an online multiplayer-focused game where players can fight in turn-based card battles. The characters appear in their pixelated form and include many summons from the main Final Fantasy series, as well as classic Final Fantasy characters. Players can level up characters to overcome their rivals with their own custom deck.

While a western release isn’t confirmed, you can visit the game’s official website here
