Playable Beta for Warcraft III: Reforged Coming in Early 2019

Blizzard has confirmed a beta for their recently announced remaster for the legendary real-time strategy game, Warcraft III.

The new remaster, Warcraft III: Reforged, will get a playable beta sometime early next year – news confirmed by senior producer Pete Stilwell in an interview with YouTube channel Back2Warcraft.

Stilwell noted the game’s beta will hopefully be released “at some point early next year” and that “the sooner we can get it started the better.” Furthermore, he said the beta will be more like a traditional pre-alpha.

The goal is to have features test as soon as Blizzard finishes them, like having the Undead race playable in the beta with 1v1 matches once they’re complete. Blizzard hopes to have a really positive feedback loop, just in case they need to make any course corrections with the game.

Warcraft III: Reforged is launching sometime next year, for PC and Mac. The game is up for pre-order over on its official website.
