“The Last Broadcast” DLC for This War of Mine: Stories Launches November 14

11 bit studios have just announced that the second episode in their Stories DLC for This War of Mine will launch November 14th.

In this second part of the trilogy, you play as a radio broadcaster in a war-torn city. The DLC will feature multiple perspectives and endings that deal with the moral dilemmas of reporting the truth in a country decimated by war. You can watch the trailer above.

The Last Broadcast is significantly larger than the first episode, resulting in a small price increase to the Stories Season Pass from $4.99 to $6.99 starting on November 14th. The Last Broadcast can be purchased individually for $3.99.

Here’s a rundown of the new DLC:

‘The Last Broadcast’ is the second installment in the series of This War of Mine: Stories. Based on the idea by highly talented Meg Jayanth (80 Days) this episode explores the role of truth in a time of despair.

This long-awaited DLC introduces a completely new scenario, along with new gameplay mechanics, playable civilians and multiple endings, significantly surpassing in scale first episode in the series (The Father’s Promise).

As a radio-operator broadcasting in a war-torn city, face the dilemma of whether there is a line beyond which the truth can be sacrificed. As Ira Glass once said: ‘In radio you have two tools. Sound and silence.’

This War of Mine is available on Windows PC, Mac, Linux (all via Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store), PS4, Switch, Xbox One, iOS, and Android for $19.99.
