Demo Now Available for Wario Land Inspired Indie Platformer “Pizza Tower”

A new indie developer (under the name “Pizza Tower Guy”) has released a demo and trailer for Pizza Tower.

The game has clear inspiration from the Wario Land games, particularly Wario Land 4. While details are scant, it seems the player explores a tower by using attacks and techniques based off momentum.

From an earlier video we can also see the player can use that momentum in other ways (such as a super-jump straight up), and entering different states much like Wario Land 4 (being forced to carry a bomb to presumably run indefinitely until the player hits three walls and the bomb explodes). The player then escapes the tower within a time-limit.

The game is still in development, and no release date or platforms have been confirmed. It is a fairly safe assumption however that the game will at least be on Windows PC.

You can download the demo here and follow the developer on Twitter here.
