Funimation Wants Goku in Super Smash Bros. for Switch

Ever since Nintendo confirmed a new Super Smash Bros. game for the Nintendo Switch, fans have been going wild speculating as to which characters will make the cut for the game’s roster.

One such ongoing demand is to have Goku of Dragon Ball fame to be included as a third-party combatant in the party-fighting game, an addition fans have been anticipating for over a decade.

Now, Funimation (the folks who own the licensing to Dragon Ball outside Japan) is literally asking Nintendo if the legendary saiyan will be added to the game.

“Hey Nintendo, When’s our boy Goku going to join the fight?” the company teased in a Tweet.

Currently, the confirmed fighters in the game include: Inklings (Splatoon), Mario (Super Mario), and Link (The Legend of Zelda).

While details for Super Smash Bros. on Switch are scant, we know the game is set for a release sometime this year (probably this holiday).
