Rockstar Games has announced the release date for Red Dead Redemption 2.

The game will forgo its previous delay to this spring for a release several months later – on October 26th for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The reasoning behind the delay is because the game needed “a little extra time for polish.”

A previous trailer for the game confirmed it’s actually a prequel, despite its numeration suggesting that it’s a follow-up to the original. You can read more about that here.
