New Assassin’s Creed Origins Trailer for “The Hidden Ones” DLC

Ubisoft has shared a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Featured above, the new trailer introduces the game’s upcoming DLC “The Hidden Ones,” which launches tomorrow – January 23rd.

Here’s a brief rundown on the DLC:

This story-driven expansion builds upon the growth of the Brotherhood, taking players four years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins as they clash with an occupying Roman force in a new region of the world, the Sinai. This expansion will increase the level cap to 45, allowing players to continue to upgrade and customize their character. Players will have access to four new Legendary weapons, a new outfit, two new mounts and multiple new weapons as well as two new levels for all crafted gear.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Is anyone still interested in this series? Like the plot, or the characters? Or is the (assassin) gameplay the only interesting feature?

I gave up on the series after Rogue. Unity’s push for Microtransatictions, getting rid of the formula and limiting my favorite ability to just a pulse annoyed me to end. While I admit that Black Flag had it, it was much less than “Pay 14 dollars to unlock the cool weapons immediately lololol.”

I honesty believe that they should have kept the world described in the email in the first game. Hollywood shutting down, people sneaking over the border to Mexico, whatever happened to Africa, instead of gong “It was a troll email.”

AC2 is the last game in the series I even finished. I played Brotherhood, AC3 and 4 but dropped them pretty early on.

IMO the series has been the same game over and over since AC2, none of the core mechanics has been built upon since that game, if anything, it keeps getting more shallow.

Similarly, I quit the series during 3 when they changed all the fun things I enjoyed in
2’s trilogy. Maybe could’ve gotten over it, but Connor, as a character, assassinated my interest.
