• Disgaea 5 Complete Sales Top 200,000 Copies; PS4 and Switch are Main Development Platforms Now

    We’ve learned that total sales for Disgaea 5 Complete have topped 200,000 copies.

    The new milestone includes worldwide sales, most of it coming from North America, Europe, and Asia – news confirmed by Nippon Ichi Software president Sohei Niikawa via an interview with Inside Games


    It’s worth pointing out that Disgaea 5 Complete is the Nintendo Switch port of Disgaea 5.

    Alongside the news of the games sales is the confirmation from Niikawa that both PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch are now their main development platforms moving forward, for both new IPs and sequels.

    Nippon Ichi Software is seeing their 25th anniversary this year, and their western localization branch, NIS America, has a press event planned for February 9th.
