Night in the Woods: Weird Autumn Edition Announced, Launches December 13

Infinite Fall has announced Night In The Woods: Weird Autumn Edition.

The new version of the adventure game is coming to PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on December 13th. Featured above, you can view the game’s announcement trailer.

Chief among the additions in the new version are never before seen content, like pre-release miniature episodes, new mini games, and more. Owners of the PC game will get this upgraded version for free.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning the game’s official Twitter account teased a release for “another console,” which by process of elimination tells us it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch as well.

Here’s a rundown on the game:

College dropout Mae Borowski returns home to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs seeking to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with the friends she left behind. But things aren’t the same. Home seems different now and her friends have grown and changed. Leaves are falling and the wind is growing colder. Strange things are happening as the light fades.

And there’s something in the woods.

NIGHT IN THE WOODS is an adventure game focused on exploration, story, and character, featuring dozens of characters to meet and lots to do across a lush, vibrant world. After a successful Kickstarter it’s being made by Infinite Fall, a teamup of Alec Holowka (Aquaria), Scott Benson (Late Night Work Club), and Bethany Hockenberry.
