Day-One Patch for Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite Will Fix Goofy Character Faces

We’ve learned that Capcom is going to actually fix the silly-looking character faces in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, however it’s not happening until the game is launched.

A day-one patch for the game will be released that will be focused on “making improvements” to character models like Chun-Li and “other Capcom characters,” news confirmed to Kotaku.

Previously, Capcom producer Mike Evans noted that the character models were bad – like really bad. “I never wanted to look at it again. It’s super–no, okay. It is disgusting,” Evans said. He also said that Capcom is going to look into it prior to release, but couldn’t promise anything – it seems like they ran out of time.

“Of course we will look at it again. We’re gonna look at it. Can’t promise anything right now, but we want to make our fans happy, man,” he said. “We’re not an evil overlord company, despite the rumors. We do want to make our fans happy. Can’t promise anything. We’ll look into it. I believe Ono already said something about that.”

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is launching across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 19th.
