Resident Evil 7 “Not a Hero” DLC Gets Delayed

Capcom has announced a delay for the “Not a Hero” downloadable content for Resident Evil 7: biohazard.

The new content, mostly focused on Chris Redfield, will forgo its planned spring 2017 release. “We were working very hard to get the DLC ready in time for the spring release,” producer Masachika Kawata said in the above video message.

“And we got close to completing the game content. However, in light of the incredible reception to the release of Resident Evil 7, we concluded that this DLC was not good enough to meet those high expectations,” said director Koshi Nakanishi.

Kawata also noted: “Our aim is for this content to match the high quality of the main game, so we need more development time in order to achieve that goal. Rest assured we’ll use this time to create something our fans will love.”

Lastly executive producer Jun Takeuchi confirmed that Capcom is working on new downloadable content for the game, after the Not a Hero DLC.

Resident Evil 7: biohazard is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough written and video review for the game here (we highly recommend it!).
