EVO Japan First Details Announced, Preliminaries Start May 2017

While we’ve known an EVO tournament is finally happening in Japan, the first details regarding the main tournament and the preliminary “Sai” tournament have been announced by EVO Japan organizers.

The first “Sai” tournament will be going down from May 20th through May 21st at the Akihabara UDX, the same venue for the core EVO Japan tournament. The full EVO Japan tournament is going down from January 26th to January 28th of next year.

It’s free to enter the tournament and the Sai preliminary, and there will be double-eliminations. Featured games include Tekken 7: Fated Retribution and Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, with one main event game that hasn’t been announced yet.

The main American EVO tournament is going down between July 14th through July 16th. You can read more about that here.
