Xbox Game Pass Subscription Announced, Includes Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games

Microsoft has announced a new service called Xbox Game Pass in a clear bid to boost Xbox One hardware sales.

The new monthly subscription is coming to Xbox One this spring, and gives users unlimited access to over a hundred Xbox One and backwards compatible Xbox 360 games, for only $9.99 a month.

The service will include games from various industry publishers, including: 2K Games, 505 Games, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, Sega, SNK, THQ Nordic, Warner Bros. Interactive, Microsoft Studios, and more.

It’s worth pointing out games will be downloaded directly to your Xbox One, and not streamed. Coming from this, all games, including add-ons, will be available to purchase with a discount exclusive to Xbox Game Pass holders. New games will be added into the subscription every month, while some will be cycled out.

Microsoft is going to test the Xbox Game Pass with lucky members of the Xbox Insider Program, in the Alpha Preview ring beginning today with a limited number of games.
