Netflix Officially Announces New Animated Series Based on Castlevania

Remember the “super violent” animated series based on Castlevania that we reported is actually happening? It seems like Netflix has picked up the bill, as they’ve announced a new animated series based on the Castlevania video game franchise.

The first season of the production will include four half hour episodes, and its set for a broadcasting date sometime later this year. A second season is already planned for sometime next year.

The description for the series reads:

“Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.”

Further details weren’t confirmed, but we’ll keep you guys posted.

I only hope there’s a very special episode that addresses the dangers of eating meat discovered inside masonry.

I hate to sound like I’m defending it, but last I heard the Death Note thing is an “adaption.” A shitty adaption, but an adaption nonetheless.
The “Dear White People” crap is just garbage, though.

Eh, who cares about live-action adaptions of anime, i couldn’t care less about GITS, and i could hardly care about Death note.

But the second one is pretty shit. Desu.

Let me guess, we’ll see blood, gore, nudity, and the occasional scene of a dyke eating carpet? Most Netflix shows tend to be about the same especially when they’re given the MA rating which means it’ll be more of the same that we’ve seen from the, “game of thrones era”

They also have a new show where a BLM member tells us how evil white people are.

Do you think anyone complained about L’s casting choice like they complained about “muh whitewashing” in GiTS? I’m betting that’s a stupid question.

Hating on white people is fine, but if you dare treating the blacks the same, then you are a monster. We have to treat them like children because they can’t handle some adult responsibilities, and that’s the plague that feminism and pc culture brought us…

“Dear White People”, I love it, it shows how petty and childish they are, trowing the blame and responsibility to a hardworking group of people.
So blind with rage and ignorant to the problems of their own communities. Why can’t they learn from other minorities like the asians?

    mite b cool.

Voltron was enjoyable enough, they really need to get a strong studio behind this one though, they need to nail the visuals and animation.

Frederator in charge of a Castlevania adaptation? I expect this to be laughable. I don’t think there’s any studio in America that could pull this off.

Netflix seems to get going after the action cartoon that the major channels have been hugely neglecting all the while building a monopoly that’ll draw in the teenage and adult money.

But like, Castlevania has most of that shit anyway. Swap out dyke for succubi and you have Castvania. Personally, I hope they leave Alucard out, and make it strictly about the Belmonts. There’s hardly a reason to hold it against them if they have hit similar to a GoT atmosphere. Writing and context are going to be key
