New Trailer for Nioh Introduces the Samurai

Koei Tecmo has shared a new trailer for Nioh.

Featured above, the new trailer is the second in their series of artsy, story-focused videos for the upcoming action RPG.

Dubbed “The Samurai Who Fight for the Land,” the video talks up the two primary samurai and how they sacrifice themselves for their land.

Nioh launches February 7th for the US, February 8th for Europe, and February 9th for Japan.

    Why isn’t the samurai Japanese?

The developers didn’t want him to be?

Alternatively it’s a metaphor for the fact that Westerners now consume Japanese console games more than their own home market?

I tried the demo today and was definitely not impressed. It’s a souls game, but with godawful controls (plus the annoying stamina regeneration system) and everything more than a foot from your character is so blurry that you keep falling to your death because you can’t tell what’s in front of you.

It’s weird, the game itself doesnt use that art style at all.

Completed the last demo, and beat both the standard and twilight missions this time. Cannot wait.
