Capcom has announced that the first of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard‘s story DLC, titled “Not a Hero,” will be free when it launches this Spring.
Revealed by Famitsu, the DLC is a short story scenario meant to have a different feel from the main story. Capcom also confirmed that the main story will end with the game, and you won’t need any DLC to get the true ending.
Capcom plans to share more on Not a Hero some time after Resident Evil 7: Biohazard releases next Tuesday. As for the game’s other DLC packs, the survival horror game’s Season Pass has recently been detailed. You can read more about that here.

January 17, 2017 at 4:02 pmNot gonna lie, im pretty hype for what RE7 has to offer. At least it’s an actual survival horror game.

January 18, 2017 at 12:17 amInteresting. I came away from the demo feeling very mixed about what the game had to offer; the scenario itself was very interesting but the mechanics (puzzles, combat and shooting) didn’t seem like they represented what the main game might be like so much as they were just there to suit the demo.
“Capcom also confirmed that the main story will end with the game, and you won’t need any DLC to get the true ending.” is a very promising statement, and if RE7 turns out to be a worthwhile departure for the series then I will definitely consider picking the game up.
