Nintendo has announced the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The latest in their storied franchise will launch on March 3rd, the same date the Nintendo Switch releases worldwide, with a Nintendo Wii U release planned as well.
To celebrate the new release date announcement, Nintendo has revealed a new trailer, which you can view above.
Here’s a new batch of screenshots:

January 13, 2017 at 12:07 amThat was expected. They needed Zelda to push the NS. I wonder if they will release the Wii U version on the same date.

January 13, 2017 at 12:07 amJeez, glad to see the game not launching ten months after the Switch. Hopefully it won’t be buggy at launch. Really looking forward to this one

January 13, 2017 at 12:08 am…Aaand it’s not region-locked, so folks don’t necessarily have to put up with the English dub!

January 13, 2017 at 12:21 amLet’s hope.
Also let’s hope that there isn’t some bullshit backlash that will somehow make them reconsider that scene, and pissing off more people in the process.

January 13, 2017 at 12:23 amIf they’re not, then at least we have the option to import the Japanese version WITHOUT also importing a Japanese Switch. Region free all up in this bitch, welcome to 2013 Ninty.

Could do without the voice acting though.

January 13, 2017 at 8:06 amThe censorship usually comes from NoA, this game is made in japan, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the westren release has “changes”.

January 13, 2017 at 12:40 pmAfter hearing both the English and Japanese voice acting, I have to now wonder if they’ll give us an option to choose which language you want. In my opinion, the usual anime like overacting of the Japanese version was just far better.
And yeah I know it’s region free now so I could just buy the Japanese version if I REALLY cared about it, but having English subtitles to help clarify anything I don’t get or miss would be ideal.
