    • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild “Master Edition” Revealed

    Nintendo has announced a swanky limited edition for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

    Dubbed the “Master Edition,” the limited release for the game comes with the following:

    • A copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    • A Relic of Hyrule: Calamity Ganon Tapestry and Weather-Worn Map
    • A Master Sword Statue
    • A Nintendo Switch Sheikah Slate Carrying Case
    • A 24-Song Soundtrack Selection CD
    • A Sheikah Eye Collectible Coin

    There’s also a special edition that comes with everything seen above, sans the statue. A price point wasn’t announced, but we’re expecting one shortly.

    The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is launching for the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U on March 3rd, the same day the Nintendo Switch launches worldwide.

      It looks cool, but they should really talk about the price. This is one thing that wasn’t mentioned in the conference – the price of games. I assume 60$ for a new game would be reasonable.

      To be fair, nintendo has done collector editions before. Remember the Ocarina of Time on the gamecube?

      And the Paid online i can’t defend.

      Edit: Then again, i don’t play online games.

      They may change the date, on that note, Amazon also reduced the price of Nioh and a few other of my preorders further. Prime is paying for itself at this point

      Considering the fact that it’s being marketed as a console first, $60 seems about right.

      I wouldn’t expect the game prices to deviate from the industry standard for now.

      Paid online is shit but complaining about optional collectors editions… especially collector’s editions with cool world map feelies seems weird.

      I already pre-ordered mine before the scalpers get their hands on them.

      But… I’m getting the game on the Wii U, I’m not even sure at this point that I’ll be getting the Switch at launch, and so far there’s no Master Edition for the Wii U version.

      I mean it’s enough that they delayed the game so it could coincide with the Switch launch, now the Wii U is getting shafted with the limited edition too.

      I know it sucks, but the Wii U is toast. Right after the event last night they removed the “Buy Now” button from the Wii U on their website.

      I feel a little shafted myself having owned a Wii U and not putting even as many hours on it as I did my Wii. And I hated my Wii.

      But, the Switch is cool as hell. I’ll be buying that Master Edition on day 1 and already have my system preordered.

      I refuse to pay to play online (because online is almost always shit), but the people bitching about it are most are people who have no problem paying Microsoft and Sony for online…but Nintendo doing the same thing? Lord, no!

      I wouldn’t and don’t pay any of them for online capabilities. I was fine with the PS3’s internet for what it was. It was perfectly fine. Do that again.
