Despite only being available for iOS devices, Nintendo has announced that worldwide downloads for Super Mario Run have exceeded 40 million.

The game launched for iOS devices back on December 15th and broke 40 million downloads in only four days. This also makes it the highest-ranking free game in the App Store across 140 countries/regions, as well as one of the top 10 highest-earning games in the App Store.

An Android release for Super Mario Run is planned, however it’s not happening until next year.
