Atlus CEO: Nintendo Switch has “Interesting Potential”

It seems like we might be getting Atlus games on the Nintendo Switch sooner than expected, if the words between Atlus CEO Naoto Hiraoka and MCV are anything to go by.

In the interview, Hiraoka talked up the console, saying that while his company has pledged their support for the device, the console “is making for some interesting potential.”

Hiraoka also praised the Nintendo 3DS, a platform they’ve released a multitude of games onto. “As a third-party publisher for Nintendo’s platform, we have seen that 3DS owners are looking for mature role-playing game experiences, and JRPGs fit right into this genre.”

While the Nintendo Switch is set to release in March of next year, we’ll be seeing more information for Nintendo’s console on January 12th in a new video showcase.

Could we be seeing Persona 5 on the Nintendo Switch? Sound off in the comments below with your hopes for Atlus’ support of the console!
