Atlus USA have uploaded their second Persona 5 English character trailer, this focusing on Ann Takamaki.
Like with the first character trailer they released, they also uploaded an interview with Erica Harlacher, who will be supplying the voice for Ann in the English release.
Persona 5 is slated to release in North America and Europe on February 14th, 2017 for the PS4 and PS3.

October 27, 2016 at 9:40 pmMy native language doesn’t belong anywhere in a foreign work, unless it’s either purposely put in there by the creator(s), or in the form of translated text by the localizer bringing it over. With that said, the only English I want to hear spoken in my Japanese games is the broken kind, or random words and/or phrases used by a character to add a little spice to their conversations.

October 28, 2016 at 4:59 amKanji are easy to memorize when you try to see the strokes and radicals, like in the picture posted by Narmy below, the girl’s japanese name 杏 (pronounced “an” in this case but “anzu” for the apricot itself) which is basically the radicals 口(mouth) and 木 (tree) drawn together. You can also memorize the kanji as a picture of a fallen fruit now at the bottom of the tree. This is a method among others
But you should worry about the grammar aspect of the language first if you havent done that already.

October 28, 2016 at 9:40 amI think the first couple of lines maybe sounded awkward (may be a mixing issue or something), but I’m glad it’s a voice actress that understands that if a character is presenting themselves in a different way and acting a different way that their voice might also be delivered in a different way. Too many characters have been ruined by bigger VAs not understanding that (*cough*SilentHillHDCollection*cough*)

October 28, 2016 at 11:27 amIdiot read twice before to answer people, I own the game and I know persona 4 Arena has dual audio. If Atlus didn’t allow Japanese audio due to the reason in the picture they won’t do it and make the game entirely in English. And in my post I mentioned “your character” which mean the battle voices not the narrator or anything else.

October 28, 2016 at 1:57 pmI also own the game dumbass and i know it’s narration can’t be turned to japanese.
Like i said you moron but i’ll make it simple.
A1. The characters that you play as can switch between English and Japanese voices at will.
A2. The narration will always be in English though.
Also dumbass dual audio means for all! not just ”Your character” simply cause it suits your excuse.
Also persona 4 arena was Co-developed with Arc system works and they always include dual audio sadly ATLUS were scumbags enough to exclude it in persona 4 arena ultimax.
Even Odin shpere only kept dual audio cause they studio itself demanded it be included, most likely cause they actually care about their fans unlike ATLUS which are just Greedy fucks.

Let me help you to understand the discussions:
1-I posted about dual audio
2-TheCynicalReaper posted a screenshot saying the reason for not doing it is legit.
3-I posted it’s hard to swallow because other publishers allow dual audio and Atlus allow Japanese voices in weird instance like Dragon’s Crown even if it’s not really dual audio
4-You: insulting me for no reason
“Cause then you english dub lovers should just be happy when japanese
character speak bad english in japanese games simply cause some
characters Speak english and it would count as dubbing the game.”

October 28, 2016 at 6:39 pmPracticing Japanese with games really ends up sucking the fun out of them, especially if you’re not at N4-N3 level yet. I’m not saying don’t do it, but be prepared to get frustrated when you have to look words up all the time or you don’t understand how grammar glues a certain sentence together.
It gets better with time but it’s a huge beginner’s burnout trap with most of the games out there. I would recommend something light on story and dialogue that has furigana, preferrably.
Klarktastic
October 28, 2016 at 8:56 pmThat’s why I said children cartoons lol. I’m guessing you mean dragonball (the dub in this one is so bad is good) or naruto or something like that, besides those usually even anime gets dubbed. I don’t really watch tv anymore but I did catch random glances of full metal alchemist, death note, cowboy bebop and sword art online all of them in japanese with subtitles. The logic here is if the show is geared towards children in some way, you get a dub because they probably can’t read fast enough yet or at all. Even Pixar movies get dubbed in the cinema here, because in the end, even tho adults enjoy them its still geared towards children. BUT you usually get 2 different showings at the cinema for those, one with the original audio and one dubbed. You know so people have a choice….kind like the dual audio that this game doesn’t have.
Migi
October 29, 2016 at 1:17 amNo your trying to use a incomplete version of a game as a Dual audio excuse, Even if it was as an example it’s a a bad one considering it isen’t dual audio however you look at it. And even the other example’s are bullshit like i explained they were done cause ATLUS chose to they were done cause out side source’s were involved.
Even if you were to use Tears to Tiara II: Heir of the Overlord, or that To heart dungeon game it was most likely to skip cost considering both were very heavy on text and voice acting and they cheaped out on english dubbing those.
Even the example that TheCynicalReaper posted is old as fuck. If they make the contract beforehand there would be no problem with the licensing, cause VA woulden’t wanna skip out on a paycheck it’s only after they did the recording and they wanna license it that it would be a problem cause then they could demand a higher payment for it.
I insult you for the fact that you think Dragon’s crown counts as dual audio which it isen’t and that’s a fact. I don’t have to assert much when somebody tries to use a incompleted dual audio game as an excuse to call it dual audio.
gwadahunter2222
October 29, 2016 at 1:27 amI never say it counts or state as a dual audio you are jumping on the conclusion. You are just passing for an idiot.

So, yeah, that argument doesn´t apply for me, i just don´t wan´t a game dubbed in a language that i´s not my native language.
Not everybody in the world has english as a native language.
Migi
October 29, 2016 at 2:12 amYou sure act like one, with your.
“insult someone you never met before and didn’t talk to you for no reason”
Also if you can´t take comments that call you out on your bullshit simply cause you weren´t talking to that person means it´s better for you to stay offline cause it means you get triggered simply for a person calling you out on your bullshit comment and lack of actual research on what Duals audio means. it doesen´t mean half bakked audio included.
I can see your just triggered for me posting you actually full of shit with your example of a so called dual audio game. Face facts your full of shit with your argument.
You simply feel that i´m not allowed to comment cause it makes you feel triggered being called out that you are wrong on the dual audio for Dragon´s crown and so you rant on about something ididen´t even talk to you about i´m simply fact checking your bulslhit statement you used as an excuse to say ATLUS included dual audio.
So my advice to you is stay offline if your afraid off counter argument cause it seems to really trigger you and just in case it might happen again in the future you might get even more butthurt when you shouting out bullshit.
gwadahunter2222
October 29, 2016 at 2:32 amI just said Dragon’s Crown allow you to swicth your character’s voice
between English and Japanese which is true, I didn’t claim the game was
dual audio which it isn’t.
You are the one who are making all this drama. You are the one triggered just because I quoted Dragon’s Crown and feel the urge to insult me and to correct me.
You are degenerating in front of me.
Migi
October 29, 2016 at 2:48 amAnd that doesen’t make the game dual audio!!!
like i said if that is dual audio then a anime series or game that has bad english in it could be considerd Dual audio and then you make feel butthurt for calling you and idiot for the simple fact that the game isen’t dual audio.
But you still bother using it as an example and then you suddently switch to persona 4 arena and while i called you out on that one with stating that it was co-developed with arc system works still means no Game by ATLUS has dual audio.
Your just buuthurt cause i called you out on that bullshit fact and that i used the word dumbass cause that triggered you to go on a rant that you feel insulted for me calling you out on it.
Your just some Sad loser that can’t take counter argument that include a bit harsh language. You facts are still bullshit but you keep clinging on the notion that ingame character grunts or shout-outs count as dual audio so how delusional have you gotta be to not even be able to make a distinction. Only reason your using fine print words now as an excuse to avoid make looking stupid.
Only reason you find me a degenerant is cause i’m calling you out and that triggers you. cause from the start you been bitching about your other conversation which has nothing do with me calling you out that Dragon’s crown isen’t dual audio.
If this alrdy triggers—> ‘feel the urge to insult me and to correct me’
I’d suggest staying offline cause the internet might give you a big butthurting in the future. Stop acting like some Whining Nancy-Boy!! For some minor insult and grow the fuck up man.
