The 4.00 “Shingen” Update for PS4 firmware will release tomorrow, according to a new post from the PlayStation Blog. This is the update we’ve been hearing about for a while now, that will update the PS4 menus, add folders, and alter several other things in the PS4’s software.

In addition to what we already knew was coming, a few new features and tweaks ere added to the list. The What’s New page is getting a redesign with a new Activity Feed on the left hand side of the page. The right side will feature the Now Playing, Trending, Who to Follow, and Players You May Know sections of the UI.

The content overview for a given game will be getting an update to allow players to see what’s trending, friends, communities, activities and PlayStation Store offerings all at a glance. The new High Dynamic Range settings will also be available in the Video Output Settings  for those with TVs capable of making use of the feature.

A new and improved Music section is being added to the menu as well, to let you control your music, playlists, and such much more easily.

Keep an eye out for the update tomorrow! In the meantime, you can check out a walkthrough of the new update over at the PlayStation EU YouTube.
