Spike Chunsoft has taken to Twitter to poll their fans if they’re interested in another Fire Pro Wrestling game.

“I’m getting bodyslammed by Fire Pro Wrestling fans! Let me hear the crowd: Do you want a revival?” said the developer on Twitter.

To coincide with the social outreach, they’ve shared a petition looking for a thousand signatures in support. At the time of writing, they’re already at 800 signatures, so it will be interesting to see their statement once it reaches its goal.

The petition is asking for a new game within the series for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS Vita, PC.

The latest game in the Fire Pro Wrestling series was the Xbox 360-released Fire Pro Wrestling, which saw users making use of their Xbox Live Avatars.

1000 seems like a real low number, honestly.

Oh well, a new Fire Pro sounds pretty great.

Let me hear the crowd: Who wants to buy this game we just finished making!?

^ Is what he should’ve said.

It is indeed very likely a publicity stunt for a game they were going to release regardless. That said, I’m down for Fire Pro.

I haven’t played any in the series, but too would want to give it a shot.

As much as I’d like a brand new fully realized Fire Pro for current gen, I’d laugh if this was leading up to a HD remaster of the shitty 360 game.

So, I signed the petition and it automatically added me to a mailing list for some kind of environmentalist group automatically. Looking around the site, it seems like it’s run by two different environmental groups and the Human Rights Council. Just a warning for anyone considering signing the petition who might not want their names or email addresses associated with causes or organizations they might not support.

Wait… so you don’t support environmental causes or human rights?

What an evil motherfucker you are.
