Turok 1 and 2 Remastered Coming to Xbox One

Night Dive Studios has announced they’re bringing Turok 1 and Turok 2 to Xbox One.

Both titles will be fully remastered just like the original Turok was for PC and Mac last year, via Steam.

The games will feature:

  • Support for high resolutions, and widescreen
  • Improved gameplay and level design
  • OpenGL for video backend to provide portability and support for vertical sync
  • Dynamic lighting, bloom, FXAA, enhanced water effects, lights shafts and more
  • Xbox Live Achievements

If you’re wondering whether or not Night Dive will consider the games for other platforms, don’t worry – they’re still considering them. “We’re evaluating other platforms but can’t confirm at this time,” Night Dive said in another Tweet.

Interesting, usually we’d at least see a linux or a PS4 port before an xbone port.

I’d totally buy them on disk, I never played the uncensored N64 versions, only the censored german ones, which replaced human enemies with shiny cyborgs and removed all blood.
As download only though I will wait for a sale before I consider it.

I’m pretty stoked for these. I haven’t played Turok since I was just a kid and I’ve considered picking up an original N64 cart off of eBay, but now I’ll just wait for these to come out.

Actually I’m pretty sure all of Europe got the cyborg enemies. Well atleast in Australia we did.

Honestly I’m pretty hyped about this. I remember snapping my controller and smashing my TV with it because of the controls when I was younger.

Well it is possible that australia also got a censored version but at least the UK got it uncensored.

Nope only germany and australia get their games censored cause off your rating systems and dumb poltical bullshit.

Germany gets everything censored because its afraid another WW might happen if you see certain thing kinda bullshit.

Australia is kinda a riddle it all started with mortal kombat for no real reason, seems more a personal doctrine getting forced on ppl.
