Irrational’s Job Posting Hints At Next Game

With all the news and hype surrounding System Shock 3, one of the men responsible for the previous game in the franchise – Irrational’s Ken Levine – has been quietly at work on something of his own. Though no word has come out other than some talk concerning replayability and non-linearity, we have recently seen a job posting appear on their website.

Asking for someone with experience in “semi-open world games”, the posting seems to indicate something is brewing at Irrational, and it may be a much more open than the “on-rails” nature the studio fell back into during Bioshock Infinite. Combine something open world with Levine’s previous comments about ever-changing storylines and you may see something from them that breaks the mold in much the same way System Shock did.

For now, you’ll have to wait to see. Or, if you’re qualified, send them your resume and let us know what you’re working on.
