Grinding Gear Game’s free-to-play action RPG Path of Exile may be due for another full-sized expansion next year with Ascendancy, but fans of the game don’t need to wait until 2016 to play with new content. As of this writing, the servers are only three hours away from loading a huge new content patch that adds nearly enough new material to be considered an expansion itself.

The (very long) patch notes can be found on their forum, with full details on what to expect and what will be changed as well.

The biggest bit of news is the Talisman Challenge League additions, where you can fight a new boss, Rigwald The Wolven King. Defeating him and going through the challenges can net you his armor set, which is only available through his dropped loot.
