Fallout 4 Re-imagined As An Isometric RPG

If there’s one complaint that gets leveled at the newer Fallout games more than anything else, it’s that they just aren’t as good as the original Interplay-developed titles. While it’s unlikely we’ll ever see large amounts of choice & consequence or turn-based gameplay being implemented in any future sequels, a Reddit user posted some screenshots of what the game might look like if it did.

Though not a mod you can download at the moment (This may change once the tools are made available), “yttriumtyclief” invoked images of Fallout’s Black Isle days with his camera angle hack that makes the game look more in line with what we envisioned the sequels would look like 17 years ago. Granted, this doesn’t change any actual gameplay, but it would be something fun to try. Even if it does bring back memories of another real-time shooting isometric Fallout game that should otherwise remain forgotten.

According to the fan who created the hack, it runs fairly well in this new mode…even at 4K resolution. You can see a gallery of his screenshots on imgur.
