Neon Chrome, a spiritual successor to Crimsonland, is now up on Steam Greenlight in the hopes of bringing the game to a larger audience.
Featured above, a new trailer has been released to commemorate the announcement. The trailer showcases the game’s neon-soaked laser combat, as well as the unique mechanics to Neon Chrome’s co-op mode.
Neon Chrome takes place in a dystopian cyberpunk future, where corporations rule over the innocent. Players take the role of a cyborg warrior on a rebellious crusade against the maniacally powerful Overseer. Players fight floor-by-floor in vicious twin-stick shooting combat, using cutting-edge weaponry.
Players can upgrade their cybernetic parts to feature splitter bullets or subdermal armor plating as well. Â Each floor is procedurally generated and can be completely obliterated via explosives. However, death is only a new beginning, as the game states.
The game is slated for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2016.
