Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide DLC Content Detailed

Vermintide 11-11-2015 - 2

Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide has surpassed the 300,000 sales mark, so now developer Fatshark has gone on to talk about some of the exciting upcoming new updates and things to come for the game.

To begin with, the first and most glaring bit of information is the Vermintide – Sigmar’s Blessing DLC which is set to launch on December 3rd. This DLC will be free for all players and will introduce a few new systems into the game, including the ability for players to control what loot is dropped in the game, as well as a new altar in the Inn which will provide ways of sacrificing loot to strengthen your arsenal.

It will also bring new traits to the loot tables, and new unique drops in the “red” class of weaponry for each of the 40 different types of weapons that are available now. Each red class will have a set trait combination, however.

Alongside this, Martin Wahlund, the CEO of Fatshark has said that Vermintide will be alternating between free and paid DLC as it moves forward. While it remains to be seen what the developers have up their sleeves, it will be interesting to see how the paid and free content will be handled.

Also discussed was a few new modes for the game that Fatshark plans to add. A private mode, for starters, is planned to be added to allow players to go the distance alone as they attempt to survive the horde without any help.

Also mentioned was realism mode which removes the HUD, crosshairs and such to make the gameplay that much more difficult and tense. And, of course, is the addition of a horde mode that will have players doing their best not to die against wave upon wave of endless enemies.

Also of note is that patch 1.0.2 was released today, focused on improving performance and squashing bugs.

Currently Vermintide is available on Steam, and will be launching sometime in Q1 of 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One
