Dungeon Kingdom Due To Hit Steam Early Access Later This Month

If you’ve plumbed the depths of Legend of Grimrock 2 already and have been champing at the bit for another indie/old-school dungeon crawler to dig into, you’re in luck. After a successful Greenlight campaign, Hydro-Games’ retro blobber is now being prepped to appear on Steam’s early access program this September 25th and looks to have recovered nicely after a failed Indiegogo effort.

While Dungeon Kingdom does look quite a bit like Grimrock, it separates itself from the competition by focusing on making this usually retro style of game a bit more “modern”. Using physx, the game promises to implement physics puzzles that make use of the engine’s collision and rag doll abilities. Furthermore, the developers state that the game world will feature continuous, non-loading zones that eliminate the “fading” effect between dungeons.

If you’re interested, you can learn more about the upcoming RPG on the developer’s official website and get involved with their growing community in the game’s forums.
