Castle Crashers Remastered Launches for Xbox One on September 9

The Behemoth has confirmed the release date for Castle Crashers Remastered.

The upcoming revamped version will be hitting Xbox One on September 9th, for $14.99. If you own the Xbox 360 original, you’ll get Remastered at no extra cost through September 20th, provided you have an Xbox Live Gold membership.

Following this limited time offer, an upgrade for owners of the Xbox 360 original will cost $5. Featured above, a new trailer was revealed by the developer to showcase the new version’s upgrades.

Fans can expect the following updates in the Xbox One version of Castle Crashers Remastered:

  • New multiplayer mini-game called Back Off Barbarian
  • Five times larger texture sizes than the original!
  • Twice the framerate of the original! (60 frames per second)
  • Performance updates, gameplay tweaks
  • Online multiplayer performance updates
  • Ability to find games easier and quicker online

Finally, The Behemoth confirmed an update to the Steam version of Castle Crashers is coming, with development to kick off sometime later this year.
