New PS4 3.0 Firmware to Add Youtube Streaming and 10 GB of Online Storage

In a recent blog post on the Playstation website, details were shared on the Playstation 4’s 3.0 firmware update.

Among the many new features, the most prominent ones were the addition of Youtube streaming, and an upgrade from 1GB to 10GB of online storage for Playstation Plus members.

Other features include:

  • An event hub for in game events (Double EXP, special enemies)
  • Stickers for messaging
  • Sharing video clips to Twitter
  • The ability to create communities
  • A request feature to watch friends gameplay
  • Improvements to “Live From Playstation” and “What’s New”

The 3.0 firmware beta should be available soon to those who were selected to participate.

    The expanded cloud storage is overdue. Constantly getting alerts telling me mine is full.
