Summon Night 6: Lost Borders is Announced for PS4, PS Vita

Bandai Namco has revealed Summon Night 6: Lost Borders for both Playstation 4 and PS Vita.

The news comes from the latest issue of V-Jump (via Hachima Kikou), where the above scans boldly show off the series’ latest, following their teasing for a 15th anniversary reveal over on their official website.

Players will be able to get to play through the strategic battles that go down on huge fields with different elevations. As you can expect, if you get a higher vantage point, you’ll get an advantage. You’ll be able to summon powerful creatures and spells just like you could in previous games.

Here are the two protagonists:

  • Raj: The male protagonist of Summon Night 6. He lives in Filluja with his partner, Patch, and survives by collecting things which fall from the sky.
  • Am: The female protagonist of Summon Night 6. She lives with her partner, Kilt. While Am is somewhat of a scatter-brained person, she is caring to those she knows.

The story begins when a meteoric object falls into the Cocoon World of Filluja, where the protagonists lives. When Raj goes to investigate, he finds that the object was summoned from a different world called Linbaum.

At the same time, Am meets an entirely different summoned creature in a different location, named Linbaum. While both Raj and Am have their own motives, they journey together with new companions from Linbaum, to the edges of Filluja.

Summon Night 6: Lost Borders is launching in Japan next spring, for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

In related news – Gaijinworks are releasing the latest in the series, Summon Night 5, sometime later this year in North America.
