Compile Heart has shared the first screenshots and details for Hyperdimension War Neptunia VS Sega Hard Girls: Dream Fusion Special (which we truncate to Hyperdimension Neptunia VS. Sega Hard Girls).

The new screenshots and details come via an update on the game’s official website, which you can find below:

The game is centered on the protagonist, IF-Chan from Hyperdimension Neptunia, as well as a brand new character, Sega Hatsumi. The duo will journey through space and time, on a “grand adventure.”

The world sees a mysterious and gradual missing of books from the library which holds all of the world’s history. These books are reportedly able to rewrite literal history, so the loss of said books mean history itself is beginning to disappear.

To stop this catastrophe, IF-Chan and Sega Hatsumi have to journey together to find out how and why these books are disappearing.

IF-chan (voice by Kana Ueda)

She’s the protagonist of the game. Described as an adventurer who ventures round the world on her motorcycle, she’s looking to find a good future and some fun, in a time where civilization has fallen. IF has a cool, collected, and diligent personality, and is typically the peacemaker of the group.

Sega Hatsumi (voice by Emi Nitta)

A mysterious girl who has lost her memory. She goes by the names Segamin, or Segami. While she doesn’t remember anything save her own name, she has a strong will to change the past conflict between the goddesses and the Sega Hard Girls. Despite her showing the spirit of a charismatic leader, she will sometimes be stubborn and not listen to others.

About damn time Ai-chan got her own game, she’s the best! Really looking forward to this, though I’d really like to know more about how it plays. Wonder how distinct it will be from the other Neptunia titles — though with how the series is broadening itself over time, we’re rapidly getting to the stage where I could happily play nothing but Neptunia games until the end of time and still have a pretty varied, enjoyable gaming experience :)

Is Sega involved with the rights in this game in any way? If yes, I hope it will not be too difficult for IFI to localize this if sega were involved with the rights since I really like Iffiy as the main character. And it will be sad if the game that featured her as the mc aren’t being localized.

Sega Hatsumi…? Is it too much wishful thinking that somehow this will be a NotMiku?

I always read that as “sega harcore girls” and imagine what an X rated neptunai would be like

I see some Miku in her. Maybe the shoes are a nod to the Sega part?
