InXile Recruits Mark Morgan And Monte Cook For The Bard’s Tale IV

The good news for InXile’s next big CRPG release, The Bard’s Tale IV, keeps rolling in – this time with news that two very big names within the genre will now be adding content to the game. The first of those new additions is Mark Morgan, composer for several of InXile Head Brian Fargo’s earlier games, as well as the one behind the music for their future title, Tides of Numenera. You can listen to a snippet of his first publicly released song for the soundtrack below:

The other addition is Monte Cook, one of the designers of 3rd Edition D&D and a TSR veteran who has been working on Dungeons & Dragons since 1992. Though his entry into the project requires the game hit its 1.4 million stretch goal first, it’s likely they’ll reach that without any problems. As for his official duties, Cook has been recruited to craft some of the dungeons in The Bard’s Tale IV, which should help solidify the game’s already strong old school pedigree.

The Bard’s Tale IV Kickstarteris already at 1.27 million as of this writing. You can follow its development at the game’s official website or through CEO Brian Fargo’s Twitter.
