Lost Dimension is Launching on PS3 and PS Vita July 28 in North America

Atlus has confirmed the release date for Lost Dimension in North America.

The game will arrive on both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in North America on July 28th, while the European release is still on track for some time this summer. A new trailer was also revealed, featured above, which showcases the characters Sho, Yoko, and Toya below

The game is a science fiction tactical RPG by Japanese developer Lancarse. Here’s the kicker – the game received a bunch of downloadable content in Japan, all of which is coming free here in the west for the first two weeks following release.

These include: nine character costumes, 12 PlayStation Network avatars, a map set with additional story, and three additional quests. You can find the entire breakdown of all the free downloadable content, below:

Costumes

Nine costumes are planned, including:

  • A suit for Toya
  • A superheroine outfit for Mana
  • A cat outfit for Marco
  • More…

Avatars

The PlayStation Network avatars represent the 11 heroes and heroines of the game, as well as the game’s villain, The End.

Additional Quests

The three additional quests add an extra mission to each floor. They don’t provide much in the way of EXP or EN (Energy, which is used as money in-game), but if you successfully complete each with an S-Rank rating, you’ll be rewarded with a specialized item or individual character bonuses.

The following quests are planned:

  • The Emissary from the Netherworld: Moderately difficult
  • The Price of Blood: More difficult
  • Runaway Cause and Effect: Most difficult

Map Pack

The add-on map pack, “The Beginning of The End,” is a separate story that takes places in an entirely different location. It features a total of five missions, explores the creation of the game’s central pillar, and goes into the history of its 11 heroes and heroines.

Atlus has also confirmed paid downloadable content, including helper items that “help raise experience, money and other beneficial stats by providing a passive boost before a battle.” These will range from $0.49 to $0.99 in price. Stat boosters will also be coming as paid DLC, and these can increase your vision points, or further your stats in battle. These range from $0.49 to $2.99.
