Listen To Tywin Lannister Voice A Witcher 3 NPC

Charles Dance, known to Game of Thrones fans as the head of the manipulative Lannister clan (And hater of crossbows) Tywin Lannister, seems to be a big supporter of gaming. Praising the acceptance of gaming fantasy and saying his time voicing a character in CD Projekt Red’s upcoming Witcher sequel was exciting to him, Mr. Dance appears to enjoy his first foray into video game acting. Referring to the hobby, Dance had this to say:

It’s no longer the realm of children’s entertainment. It is real. So the whole thing now appeals to quite discerning adults.

Voicing the character Emperor Emhyr var Emreis of Nilfgaard, Dance must have felt at home, since much of the Emperor’s personality matches nicely with the role he played on Game of Thrones. Ruthless, a man of few words, a man who doesn’t need to throw his power around…definitely sounds like Tywin.

Personally, I was overjoyed to see him so pleased with both the game and the medium itself. It’s nice to know that some folks understand what the hobby is capable of and why it’s so special.
