Final Fantasy Type-0 HD’s Ending Hints at Type-1 Sequel

It seems like spoilers from Square Enix’s upcoming Final Fantasy Type-0 HD are already here.

Featured above, you can view a video recorded from the very end of the game, just prior to the end credits, so please be forewarned there are SPOILERS in the above video.

However, the trailer gives us a massive hint at a potential sequel. This corroborates with game director Hajime Tabata going on the record as saying he’d like to make Final Fantasy Type-1, before making Final Fantasy XVI.

When the game was originally developed back in 2011, it was poised as an essential restart for the series. It’s also worth mentioning that back in 2011, Final Fantasy Type-1, Type-2, and Type-3 were all trademarked. Is Square Enix looking to create another trilogy, akin to the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy?

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is launching on both Playstation 4 and Xbox One this coming Tuesday, March 17th.
