We’re learned (via Dengeki) that series mainstay Jessica is making a return in the Langrisser reboot on 3DS.
Jessica appeared in the very first Langrisser game on the Sega Mega Drive, back in 1991, and she has been in every game in the series since.
Her new design is penned by Hiroshi Kaieda. Jessica is the human form of the Goddess Lushiris, and she has lived in various parts of the game world for over a thousand years, through multiple reincarnations. It’s worth mentioning that her appearance in the 3DS reboot is described as being “newly reincarnated”, a first in the series, and that she is reported to be support for the protagonist.
Alongside Jessica’s return, we also have news of the voice cast thus far revealed:
- The protagonist – voiced by Shuuta Morishima
- Jessica – Aoi Yuuki
- Elma, the childhood friend – Sumire Uesaka
- Rosalia, the heavy knight – Yuka Iguchi
- Towa, the sword master – Miyuki Sawashiro
Langrisser is coming to the Nintendo 3DS in Japan some time this summer.
