Previously, Team Ninja gave us a look at their new “Soft Engine” graphics technique, which gives that ladies of the game a more lifelike sway with their … ahem, assets.
Now, we’ve gotten yet another look at the new graphics, which are exclusive to both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round. Featured above, the new trailer shows off the difference between the PS3 and PS4 versions.
Koei Tecmo has also given us some details for the game’s downloadable content, as well as its limited edition bonuses. Japanese fans will also get a Core Fighters version of the game, which gives you all of the game modes save the core story mode. If you buy the full game after trying out the Core Fighters, version, you’ll get complete access to all characters and the story.
While the free version does give you online multiplayer, you can only play as Kasumi, Ayane, Ryu Hayabusa, and Hayate. Xbox One users will be getting a playable demo, but will be unable to upgrade from the demo to the full game. Koei Tecmo is also selling Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Core Fighters with a total of four extra characters Hitomi, Jann Lee, Bass, and Tina, although a price hasn’t been mentioned yet.
If you own Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate already, you can buy the “Last Round Pack”, which lets you upgrade your game to the Last Round version. You also get to keep all of your DLC and record progress from your existing save data.
First-run and first-download copies of the game will come with the “First-time Sexy Costume” set (shown above) for the four ladies Honoka, Marie Rose, Nyotengu, and Phase 4.
You’ll also get the “Ninja 2015 Costume” set for Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate, and Ryu Hayabusa.
Lastly, there is the “Soft Sexy Costume” set, which comes with the Ultimate Pack release of the game. There are 18 costumes in this edition, and it also comes with an original soundtrack CD, a 64-page history book, a Marie Rose 3D mouse pad, a tapestry, four mini-figurines, and eight B2-size bath posters.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is coming to North America on February 17th and in Europe on February 20th across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. PC users are getting the game a bit later on March 30th, 2015.
