Skywind Shows Progress With “Archipelago” Trailer

Though there are naysayers who don’t expect the project to ever see completion, this hasn’t stopped Skywind’s developers from working on what is aiming to be the most in-depth total conversion mod ever seen in the Elder Scrolls series. Promising to recreate the third game in the series, Morrowind, in the newer engine Bethesda used for Skyrim, Skywind’s progress doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

Showing off the Sheogorad region of Morrowind, the trailer does chug a bit in areas, but apparently this is something they are aware of and will be fixed in its eventual release. Frame drops aside, it looks beautiful and looks like it has faithfully recreated the jagged, water-logged, and Daedric shrine filled northern coast of Vvardenfell.

Though you can download the incomplete masterfile from the project’s official website, no concrete release date has been set. Still, the team looks to be taking this seriously and progress is moving along at a nice clip.
