Freedom Wars has been available for PS Vita for a few months now, but we’ve caught wind of a new announcement from Sony for the series.

Sony revealed their plans for a big announcement during the “Sinners Festival,” which goes down in Osaka, Japan, on January 10th. The actual event kicks off at 11 AM Japan time and runs through 6 PM.

The Sinners Festival is actually laid out like a giant Panopticon, where fans of the series can take part in lots of events and of course – get exclusive Freedom Wars swag via completing quizzes and the like.

Finally, a brief teaser message is listed on the website, stating:

“Something is going to happen during our conclusion at 18:00?! Please stay tuned and pay attention to the stage!”

What could the announcement be? An enhanced version? An expansion? We’ll keep you guys posted.

I hope it’s that they’re adding in the voice customization options for Accessories.nnThat’s part of the reason I bought the game and I was pissed after I got it and found it had been taken out. I mean, yeah, I get that the synthesizer was for making Japanese syllables and it would have been difficult to change it to other languages, but it was a really cool feature and I wanted it anyway.

The announcement is that everybody gets another ten or twenty thousand years or so to their sentence for unruly behavior (having fun during the event).
