Theatrhythm Shows Off More of Its Chibified Dragon Quest World

The next entry in the Theatrhythm series, Theatrhythm Dragon Quest, has some new screenshots out. Featured below, they give us a better idea of what to expect.

Theatrhythm is a music- and rhythm-based series, which released its first title, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, in 2012. This was followed up with a sequel, titled Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call, in 2014.

With the previous two titles, each game the player started would have three stages: field, battle, and event, and each stage offered different mechanics. Characters leveled up at the end of a stage, and music and movies could be unlocked. The titles feature different modes, including a “Challenge Mode”, a “Chaos Shrine”, and a “Series Mode”. Both previous games have DLC available.

We can probably expect more of the same from Theatrhythm Dragon Quest. If you missed the debut trailer, you can watch it here.

Theatrhythm Dragon Quest will release in Japan on March 26, 2015, and will cost 5,800 yen, plus tax.
