Hatoful Boyfriend is Coming to Playstation 4 and PS Vita

Devolver Digital has announced some pretty awesome news: they’re bringing the avian dating simulator, Hatoful Boyfriend, to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

The game is a visual novel with art from the Japanese manga artist Hato Moa, and it’s slated for a release in the second quarter of next year.

Here’s the press blurb, straight from Devolver Digital:

As the only human student at the prestigious St. PigeoNation’s Institute, a school for talented birds, you will roam the halls and find love in between classes as a sophomore student at the world’s greatest pigeon high school.

It’s not all academic, though – there’s always time for a little romance. Chat with birds of every feather, from narcoleptic school instructors to pigeon biker gangs, on your way to flirty encounters with potential suitors that set your heart aflutter. Spend time with the ones that strike your fancy and ditch the ones that prove to be a bore!

But hey, not everything is what it seems at St. PigeoNation’s Institute. Uncover dark conspiracies, unexpected twists and hellish fiends bent on bringing about the apocalypse. Pick your dates wisely and you will flap off into the sky with your one true love. Take the wrong turn and you may well end up murdered in your bed.

Are you guys excited?

I saw someone play a few hours of this and thought it was very meh. It’s not well written and the bird thing stops being funny after 5 minutes at best. There’s stuff that’s better and free.

I am going to get this for Vita.
I have been thinking about getting it for steam, but this is perfect for portable play.

While true to some extent, the final route makes everything worth it. Like holy fuck, it does.

I’ve got to agree with you. I’m just not willing to sit through meh for what’s apparently an awesome final route.
