Dead State Gets Official Release Date

It’s been a couple of years since I first bookmarked Double Bear’s website and began salivating over their tactical RPG/resource-management-based zombie game Dead State. After seeing it pop up on Steam a while back, I thought it was finally close to release, but after a long wait and several other CRPGs later … I forgot about it.

Nows the time to start polishing off your zombie hunting skills, because according to a recent Kickstarter post, Double Bear has settled upon December 4th of this year as Dead State‘s official launch day.

For those that don’t know, Dead State aims to recreate an authentic zombie apocalypse in RPG form by focusing on party management, resource building, base maintaining and requiring you to balance the emotions and personalities of your survivors. In isometric view, you navigate a large open world, where scared survivors await your rescue. Much like State of Decay, you have to deal with the clashing egos of your group, and work to keep them happy, while also keeping the zombies from devouring their flesh.
