As was rumored, GOG announced today that they will begin selling Lucasarts (or, I suppose, it’s Disney now) titles through their digital distribution platform. Though there are only a few games up as of this writing, two of their acclaimed Star Wars-themed flight sims are already available for $9.99.

This is good news for 1990s’ PC gamers, since many of these old Lucasarts games are notorious for having problems. X-Wing V.S. TIE and Dark Forces 2, both of which are a pain to get running due to their reliance on the Windows 95 kernel, may finally become playable thanks to this deal … which would certainly alleviate all the angry threads on Steam by folks who buy Dark Forces 2 there and can’t get it working.

More games will follow, though no timetable for their release was made available.
