Housemarque’s Outland Is Now Available On Steam

2

The Red vs. Blue Bullet-hell Platformer Outland has made it’s way to computers through Steam 3 years after it’s initial release. Originally released in 2011 to quite a bit of praise for it’s visual style, interesting gameplay, and fun puzzles.

The game is similar to Metroid. As you explore the game world, you gain access to power ups and new abilities that allow you to access new areas and continue your exploration. You can even get to areas you couldn’t reach in some of the older areas.

Of course, the gameplay revolves around your character changing colors between Red and Blue. Your character is invulnerable to the bullets of his own color, so using that to your advantage to pass through obstacles is what the game is really based around.

If you haven’t gotten the chance to try this one, picking it up on Steam now is a great chance to try this awesome platformer. You can view the Steam page for Outland here, and if you buy now you’ll get the game at a 15% discount, an offer that runs until October 6th.
