D3 Publisher has announced a new Earth Defense Force game for Playstation 4, because why not?

The game is dubbed Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair, and the debut trailer was shown off.  No actual gameplay was shown off, instead the trailer focuses on the game’s typical tongue-in-cheek approach to patriotism and fighting a common enemy.

The game is set for a 2015 release, although further details weren’t announced. EDF! EDF! EDF!
