Nintendo has revealed some pretty awesome news for 3DS owners – home themes are coming.

Beginning sometime in October, a system software update will roll out that will let users customize their 3DS home menu. Featured above, you can view an apportioned section of their latest Nintendo Direct, which shows off custom Mario and Zelda themes, replete with custom sound effects, icons, folders, music, and background images.

Naturally, the custom themes will be available to purchase – although a solid release date and price were not confirmed.
