• An Even Newer, Cheaper, PS3 has Surfaced in Japan

    Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia has announced that the PlayStation 3 will receive a price drop and a new model in Japan, on August 28th.

    Featured above, the 500 gigabyte “Charcoal Black” super slim SKU will go from 28,552 yen (roughly 30,837 yen with tax) down to 25,980 yen (roughly 28,058 yen with tax). The new model will be numbered by the CECH-4300C SKU.


    All of the now old “Charcoal Black” 500 and 250 gigabyte CECH-4200C and CECH-4200B models, as well as the 250 gigabyte “Classic White” CECH-4200BLW model, will all be discontinued.
